Natalie Powell won bronze at the Budapest Judo Grand Prix, beating Great Britain colleague Jemima Yeats-Brown in a closely-fought under 78kg contest.
The medal represented the Beulah judoka star’s 10th career bronze and a boost ahead of the World Championships in Azerbaijan later this year.
“Training has been going really well,” said the 27 year old. “I have been out in Japan and Barcelona for a few weeks training.
“The next six weeks will be the final preparations for the World Championships in Baku. We go to Papendall fora week and the rest of the preparation will be in Walsall.”
