Llanidloes 221-4 beat Beacon IIIs 140-8 by 81 runs
LLANIDLOES toasted an emphatic 81 run victory at home to Beacon IIIs to climb the table.
Geraint Evans and Will Denham set the foundations with a 71 run opening wicket stand before both fell in quick succession
Denham was caught by Ray Collins off Martin Lewis for 28 before Evans was trapped LBW by Kevin Martindale for 23.
Ethan Owen and Adrian Foulkes laid on 49 for the third wicket before the latter was stumped by Ed Pharo off Lewis (2-56) for 27.
Andrew Jones joined Owen in adding 23 for the fourth wicket before being caught by Ben Martin of Martindale (2-38) for 13.
Owen (42no) and Gerrard Owen (45no) formed an unbroken 77 run fifth wicket partnership to guide the Daffodils to a commanding 221-4 to defend.
Jones (3-41) claimed the key wickets of opener Martin (43) and Luke Bedford (54) before Foulkes (4-19) and Ioan Swallow (1-28) completed Beacon’s demise for 140.
