MONTGOMERY made light work of bottom of the table Shrewsbury IIIs to maintain their promotion drive.
Harry Wilkinson (2-19) reduced the Shrews to 1-2 early on before Alex Bromley (1-23) bowled Steve Froggatt (12).
Stephen Pym and Ritesh Grandhi formed a 32 run fourth wicket stand before Pym was caught by Rowan Currie-Jones off Aaron Ruff-Cock (1-23) for 35.
Grandhi’s run out by Bromley for 31 sparked a collapse as Ed Bennett (2-20) and Sam Williams (2-8) completed the Shrews demise for 111.
Andrew Barker (27no) carried his bat in reply with Tom Corfield (17) and Ieuan Griffiths (13) chipping in before being joined by Ruff-Cock (31no) in an unbroken 43 run third wicket stand
