Bishops Castle 177-1 lost to Shifnal IIIs 179-1 by nine wickets
TOM Moulder carried his bat but could not prevent Bishops Castle slipping to a heavy nine wicket defeat at Shifnal IIIs.
Moulder and Jonathan Price formed a fruitful opening wicket stand until the latter was caught by Jack Prince off Tom Gough (1-34) for 49.
Moulder (66no) was joined by Richard Fifield (29no) in an unbroken second wicket stand to steer Castle to 177-1 to defend.
Moulder (1-57) bowled opener Dan Aston (24) in reply but Castle had no answer to surviving opener Dominic Ashley.
Ashley carried his bat with a superb 123no and joined by Matthew Batkin (29no) in an unbroken second wicket stand to guide the hosts to 179-1 and a nine wicket victory in the 19th over.
