ALBERBURY slipped to a four wicket defeat in an entertaining derby at Pontesbury.
The visitors laid solid foundations with opener Mike Crawshaw (26) joined by Dan Leach (32) before departing to Matt Smart (2-58) who also caught Mark Jones off ex-Newtown all rounder Mike Bellamore (2-59) for 51.
However Sam Morris was not to be beaten and a masterful unbeaten 81 helped guide Alberbury to 231-7 to defend despite the best efforts of the outstanding Stephen Wilson (3-47).

However Patrick Cudmore (70) and Mark Lewis (54) helped the hosts make inroads into their target before Yuri Pugh (15) joined Bellamore (17no) in guiding Pontesbury to 232-6 to cement a four wicket win in the final over of a pulsating match.
