GUILSFIELD aim to get their top two bid back on course when fellow high flyers Denbigh Town visit Clos Mytton on Saturday (2.30).

The Guils were beaten at league leaders Caernarfon Town last week and assistant manager Bernie Jones had no complaints.

“The better team won on the day but before their second goal we were well in the game,” said Jones. “They’ve won the game with two unbelievable finishes and that was the difference.

“They were ruthless and showed why they are top of the league,”

With striker Asa Hamilton still suspended and goalkeeper Andy Wycherley recalled from his loan by parent club TNS the Guils can expect another tough test against Denbigh.

“Denbigh have a very strong squad and are near the top for a reason.,” said Jones. “They will want revenge for earlier in the season but hopefully we can dig deep and get the much needed three points.”

Jones added: “As a club we all thank Andy for his efforts this season and he will be sorely missed. Hopefully he can kick on now at TNS.”
