ANDY Davies crossed the line in 35th place at today's European Athletics Championships marathon in Munich.

The Forden athlete's finishing time of 2:18:23 ensured Davies was the third Team GB athlete to cross the line.

The 42-year-old missed out on a place in the Welsh squad for the summer's Commonwealth Games in Birmingham but was consoled with a place in the Team GB squad for the Munich event as the busy summer of athletics continued.
