ADELE Nicoll is the new British women's shot put champion.
The 25 year old Welshpool star threw a personal best of 17.59m to secure gold at the Muller UK Athletics Championships in Manchester today.
Nicoll's gold represented her greatest victory to date having won the Welsh titles in 2018, 2019 and 2021 as well as the Welsh indoor titles in 2019 and 2020 and the British University Indoor title in 2019.

Victory also continued Nicoll's dream year which has seen her included in the British Winter Olympics squad as part of the bobsleigh team before earning her call up to the Welsh Commonwealth Games squad earlier this month.
