Welshpool’s Adele Nicoll has taken part in her first Winter Olympic Games Opening Ceremony in China.
The 24-year-old was one of 50 Team Great Britain athletes to march around the Bird's Nest stadium in Beijing on Friday (February 4).
The 2022 Winter Olympics is scheduled to take place from February 4 to 20.
Wales' First Minister Mark Drakeford sent a good luck message to Nicoll and her fellow Welsh teammate Laura Dea adding that the nation "is behind you all the way".
He said: "As the Beijing 2022 opening ceremony gets underway, I'd like to wish Pob lwc to Welsh athletes @skeletonlaura and @adelenicoll and the rest of @TeamGB.
"Wales is behind you all the way."
