A young driver has admitted not stopping after crashing a BMW car in a hedged ditch between Guilsfield and Arddleen.
Cian Roberts, 20, pleaded guilty to careless driving and failing to stop after a road accident when he appeared at Welshpool Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, June 8.
The court heard that the farm labourer who lives near Welshpool crashed the vehicle on the B4392 between Guilsfield and Arddleen on November 20 last year.
Magistrates fined Roberts, of Penrhosyn, Frochas, £312 for careless driving and £437 for failing to stop. He was also given five points on his licence for failing to stop meaning he has a total of 11 penalty points.
