NEWTOWN Cricket Club youngster Griff Davies has been named ECB Grassroots Rising Star award winner.
Davies represented Shropshire at under 15s, 16s and 18s level while helping Newtown to the Shropshire U15’s title and hitting his debut senior 100.
Davies was also named Newtown’s junior batsman of the year.
