NEWTOWN Sports Club has invited the community to comment upon the existing facilities at the Recreation Ground and help shape future improvements.
The Pool Road facility is home to Newtown Rugby Club, Newtown Cricket Club and Newtown Tennis Club.
In 2019 more than 14,000 individual visits were made to ‘The Rec’ to take part in physical activity with a further 4,060 visits by spectators or to attend social functions.
The clubs are proud of their contribution to the health and wellbeing of the local population which is made possible by the hard work and dedication of their volunteers.

Participation in sport has increased especially in younger age groups and females. Standards expected are also increasing and we need to be thinking about the provision of better facilities to ensure they are suitable for use by all.
The club wishes to ensure that its plans for improvement reflect the needs and aspirations of users and the wider community and invites all to take part in this survey.
