Newtown Premier League player Steve Price became the first Newtown Darts Organisation (NDO) champion after sweeping away the opposition on a day of high quality darts.
Price defeated Chris Hurds in an excellent quarter final by four legs to two and then in the semi final defeated another premier league player Isaac Weaver by four legs to one.
Price then had to overcome Steve Evans who was returning to the NDO Following injury.
Evans had been victorious over Steve Greenwood in a quarter final close encounter by four legs to three and Evans was then victorious over his son Marc by 4 legs to 2 in the semi final .
It was Price who rose to the challenge though by winning the final by five legs to nil to take the title
The NDO will recommence its second year in October and all entries are welcome.
