Newtown Wanderers unveiled their new kit and team polo shirts ahead of their MMP-NL Mid Wales League East debut against Llanfyllin Town.

Jess Walters-Davies of The Lion Newtown has kindly sponsored both for the season to continue the close association between the pub and club.

Chairman Logan Jones said: “Everyone at Newtown Wanderers is extremely thankful to Jess and The Lion for their continued support, especially given the impact that COVID has had on the hospitality sector.

"This is a great help for the club with a lot of clubs folding with the ever increasing costs of playing football, with the support of The Lion we are confident in completing our objectives for the season.”

Meanwhile Jess Walters-Davies wished the club well in their new kit in their debut season in the fourth tier of Welsh football.

She said: “We at the Lion have been supporters of the club for a few years now and we were more than happy to sponsor the club for the upcoming season as we can see the ambition of the club and we believe that Wanderers are capable of achieving their goals.

"We enjoy welcoming the team back to The Lion on a Saturday afternoon and we wish the club every success for the season ahead.”
