The former Birmingham City and Cardiff man was announced as a Robins player late on Tuesday evening.

Newtown Manager Chris Hughes said: “ I am delighted to get the signing over the line and get David on board. His experience is just what we need and he also adds know how to our squad."

Born in Cardiff, he began his career with Bristol City before signing for Premier League Wigan Athletic and then joining Sheffield United.

He then joined Swansea City before a spell on loan at Portsmouth then moving to Barnsley followed by Doncaster Rovers, Birmingham City, and ATK of the Indian Super League.
