An elderly man has been taken to hospital after apparently suffering a medical episode before crashing into a Newtown town centre building.
Dyfed-Powys Police and paramedics from the Welsh Ambulance Service were called to the scene outside Barclays bank at The Cross shortly before 7am today (Monday, June 14).
One man, who is "believed to have suffered a medical episode", was taken to hospital in Aberystwyth by ambulance.
Police said the elderly man was "conscious and breathing but in quite a confused state".
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called to reports of a single vehicle road traffic collision at The Cross, Newtown this morning, Monday 14 June at 7.01am.
"We attended with one emergency ambulance and one patient was taken by road to Bronglais Hospital for further treatment.”
