LLANIDLOES Town Football Club's search for a new manager has resumed after the Victoria Avenue club confirmed Dave Jarman had opted against taking the role.

Jarman was unveiled as Chris Davies' successor with Adam Worton as assistant earlier in the week.

However family committments have ruled out Worton from taking on the role and Jarman confirmed he would not take on the managerial position.

The JD Cymru North club confirmed the search for a new manager was now underway.

  • A club statement read: "Due to family and work commitments we could not get Adam sorted so he would not be able to take on the role.

"The knock on effect means that after chatting to Dave the whole club felt it would be better to look for a manager to come in and discuss their options for an assistant.

"Everyone is gutted this appointment cannot work out but now we have stability in front of us with the decision to keep us north and we can now go 100 per cent to find a suitable replacement for Chris.

"Dave and Adam are keeping everything ticking over and sorting the pre-season schedule so it will be a hit the ground running appointment for the new manager."

Meanwhile forward Luke Boundford has departed Victoria Avenue with the 35 year old former Newtown striker joining MMP Central Wales League South side Presteigne St Andrews.
