BUILTH Wells stormed to the first round of the JD Welsh Cup with an emphatic 8-1 victory at Knighton Town today.
The tie was over a contest inside the opening 15 minutes as Dan Hall completed a swift hat-trick before Chris Roff added a fourth.
Declan Beddoes reduced the arrears for the Robins before the break but the Bulls resumed their dominance in the second-half with goals from Jamie Evans, Greg Preece and Lyndon Jones before Tommy Rowlands completed the scoring.

Penparcau staged a cup upset with a 3-1 penalty shoot-out victory at home to Ardal North East League visitors Llanfair United.
The match ended goalless after 90 minutes with United's Toby Roberts seeing red late on before Harley Lawton, Andy Gittins and Liam Lewis converted penalties while only Sam Jones succeeding fort the visitors as the MMP Central Wales League South side sealed their progress.

Bow Street hit back to book their place in the first round with a 3-1 win at Ardal North East League rivals Llandrindod Wells.
Mike Collister briefly gave the home side the lead before Rhydian Davies levelled for the hosts on the stroke of half-time with Sion Ewart netting twice in five minutes early in the second-half to complete Street's comeback.

Radnor Valley came out on top with a 2-1 win at Llansantffraid in an all-Ardal North East League affair.
Charlie Beaumont gave the Goats an early lead before Tom Edwards doubled their tally and the home side reduced the arrears with an effort from Jack Harris on the hour.

Montgomery Town prevailed 6-5 on penalties at home to Llanilar following a 1-1 draw.
Jack Williams opened the scoring for the hosts in the first-half before the visitors levelled through Ryan Edwards after the break to take the tie to penalties when Aled Davies' decisive kick booked Montgomery a first round ticket.
