A BUMPER crowd is expected to descend on the Groe on Saturday as Builth Wells welcome Powys rivals Brecon in the biggest mid Wales derby in recent years

The Bulls will have to be at their best and more clinical after last weekend's narrow loss to Dowlais to challenge WRU Plate holders Brecon who have had an unbeaten season so far in the newly formed WRU Plate groups,

Further spice to the fixture is provided by the fact the visitors will be led by ex-Bulls Matthew Lewis and Wayne Morris who will be pitting there coaching wisdom against former team-mates Ben Duggan and Rob Lloyd.

Builth head into the game following narrow losses against Dowlais and an excellent win over Bedlinog so far this season.

Head coach Ben Duggan said: “The boys have been working extremely hard over the summer and have been learning all the time after coming up against higher league clubs.

“We’ve played some really exciting rugby at times and our set peace has been functioning well, but we know that if we are to have a chance of upsetting the odds and beating Brecon that we will have to play the complete game and our game management must be better.

“It’s going to be a great occasion, something I’m sure both clubs and towns are looking forward to, and will be great to put Mid wales rugby back on the map.”

The Bulls have a fully fit squad available with Ryan Beehan and Mike Powell returning from injury while also boosted by the form of several youth team players who have stepped up to the ranks of the senior team this season following an impressive pre-season.
