ERIC Ramsay has tweeted a picture of himself alongside new Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag as the fallen Premier League giants returned to training on Monday.

The former Llanfyllin High School student was seen pictured alongside the newly appointed United manager and assistant Steve McLaren at the club's Carrington training ground ahead of a two hour training session.

The former Shrewsbury Town assistant manager and Chelsea academy coach is one of the youngest coaches to secure a Uefa Pro License and was originally brought to Old Trafford by former boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Erik ten Hag was happy the club's setpiece coach is remaining at Old Trafford next season having been heavily linked to the managerial role at English second tier club Barnsley earlier this month before the job was given to Michael Duff.

Ramsay will now work alongside ex-Ajax boss ten Hag and former England manager McLaren.

David de Gea, Donny van de Beek, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho were among the first team stars on show at the first training session with the new United manager also promoting several youngsters to the senior fold.
