Electric vehicle charging points will be installed in a Bishop’s Castle car park, the town council has announced.

Work to install the new charge points will soon take place at Harley Jenkins Street car park in the town centre.

However, Bishop’s Castle Town Council has issued a statement warning the owners of two “abandoned” vehicles that have been left in the car park.

On Wednesday (June 16), the town council said: “During the preliminary work being undertaken it has become apparent that one or two vehicles without Tax, Insurance or MOT have been abandoned on the car park.

“Investigations will be carried out by Shropshire Council in order that enforcement action can be taken against the owners or recent owners of these vehicles to facilitate there removal along with the associated costs.

“The council therefore urges the owners of these vehicles to remove them at the earliest opportunity to avoid further action.”
