County Councillor Pete Roberts has urged people to get involved with the Powys Covid Birdwatch, where people log online the birds they’ve spotted in their gardens during lockdown.

It’s aim is to rank the top five most commonly seen birds in Powys gardens to date during lockdown.

Cllr Roberts, who represents the Llandrindod South ward, said: “There’s still time to get involved just spend an hour looking out your window and keep a log of the highest number of each species you see at an given point then log results.”

To log your results, head to forms.gle/Q6hzbHJb2yw9Wma9A

The Powys Covid Birdwatch will be keeping a running list of the most common birds seen in gardens over the coming weeks.

On the form, enter the maximum number of each species you saw in your garden at any one time.

For swallows, swifts and house martins in flight mark if you can see any during the hour.
