An American family devastated by the terrorist attacks in New York is preparing for an all-expenses-paid trip to Clacton to help them get over the tragedy.
Fireman Mike Warchola lost his life during the September 11 attacks.
Now members of Clacton Jubilee Rotary have raised the £5,500 to give his widow, Leslie, his daughter, Megan, brother, Denis and niece, Amy, a holiday to remember.
The family will arrive in England next month and will be put up in a hotel for just over two weeks. Bert Foster, who has organised the event, said everyone is looking forward to it.
"We have been in contact with the family, who are very excited," he said. "Our members are preparing to make sure they have a holiday to remember and hope that it will help them get over their grief."
