Knighton woman stole £2,100 of goods from shops

Danielle McGee, 35, of Garth Meadow, Knighton, pleaded guilty to five shop theft offences when she appeared before Hereford Justice Centre on September 3.

The offences involved a range of items including gift sets, perfumes, cosmetics, creams and other retail goods, with a total value of £2,131.79.

The highest-value theft involved gift sets worth £960 from Chave & Jackson in Hereford on June 11.

McGee also admitted stealing various items worth £549 from B&Q in Leominster on June 24.

Two offences were committed at Leominster Pharmacy, where creams and perfume worth £296.26 were stolen on July 4, followed by makeup, cosmetics and perfumes valued at £290.78 on July 6.

A further offence saw items worth £35.75 stolen from EG On The Move in Leominster on June 13.

The thefts took place between June 11 and July 6 across Hereford and Leominster.

Following her guilty pleas, magistrates adjourned the case for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.

McGee was granted unconditional bail and is due to return to Herefordshire Magistrates' Court on October 6 for sentencing.

The court ordered an all-options pre-sentence report ahead of the hearing.
