Carno Show draws crowds for speed shearing and family fun

The annual show featured a wide range of attractions and competitions, with livestock classes, produce displays, children’s activities and dog events all forming part of the programme.

Organisers said one of the standout attractions was the speed shearing competition, which proved particularly popular with spectators throughout the day.

A variety of entertainment aimed at younger visitors was also available, with children taking part in races, games and activities across the showground.

Prize presentations were also held, with trophies awarded to successful competitors.

Inside the show hall, exhibitors displayed vegetables, flowers and other produce for judging, while livestock competitions featured sheep from a range of exhibitors.

Reflecting on the event, Carno Show Secretary Sara Jones praised the efforts of volunteers and committee members who helped organise the day.

She said: “It was a very successful day, and we have received a lot of positive feedback from those who attended.

“One of the highlights of the day was undoubtedly the speed shearing, which proved very popular with the crowds.
