Llanfyllin Show will return this summer with sheepdog trials, speed shearing, dog shows, and more than 600 competition classes as organisers unveil details for the 2026 event.
One of Montgomeryshire's biggest agricultural events will take place at Parc Bodfach Park on Saturday, August 8, with hundreds expected to attend the annual celebration of farming, food, livestock, and rural life.
Organisers have confirmed the show will run from 9am to 7pm and will feature horse and sheep competitions, horticulture, cookery and craft displays, floral art, sheep shearing, sheepdog trials, trade stands, and family entertainment.
Adult entry will cost £14, while tickets for children aged four to 15 will be £5.
Under-fours will be admitted free, with discounted advance tickets available online.
Free parking will also be available.
The show remains one of the highlights of the rural calendar in Mid Wales, attracting competitors from across the region.
A packed programme has been confirmed, including extensive horse and livestock sections, a companion dog show, speed shearing competitions, and sheepdog trials.
Dozens of championship trophies and hundreds of prizes will be up for grabs throughout the day.
The sheep section alone will feature a wide range of breeds including Lleyn, Suffolk, Texel, Kerry Hill, Blue Texel, and Welsh Mountain sheep, while horse classes will cater for everything from heavy horses and Welsh cobs to show jumping and children's riding competitions.
Visitors will also be able to browse horticulture, cookery, art, photography, and craft exhibits, alongside trade stands and food and drink attractions.
Show organisers have named HIJ Electrical as the main sponsor for 2026.
The event will be held by kind permission of Christopher and Laura Acton and Janet Jones.
