A woman who harassed her former partner has been handed a 12-month community order.
Teresa Allen, of Bryn Hafren in Crew Green, had previously pleaded guilty to two counts of harassment without violence between July 13 and 16, last year, in Powys.
Welshpool Magistrates' Court was told on Tuesday (June 16) how Allen had sent hundreds of unwanted messages to the victim.
Helen Tench, prosecuting, said the victim and the defendant had been in a relationship for around 11 years before they split in 2021, then last July had been in contact over a message from him relating to parenting.
She continued: "The defendant told him to stop and then sent a further 28 abusive messages.
"She then messaged him hundreds of times. He could not block her number because they needed to communicate about childcare."

Ms Tench added that the impact had led to the victim being referred for counselling by his doctor.
A victim impact statement read out to the court said the victim had suffered with "severe stress", was "struggling to sleep", and said it had affected his "physical health".
He continued: "I am at the point that I have to get my partner to read the messages because of the effect it has on me."
The statement added: "She is using the messaging as a means to make contact with me when she doesn't need to. I just want all of this to stop."
Rob Hanratty, defending, told the court that Allen reacted after she felt the victim had criticised her parenting.
He told the court: "The defendant will admit that she let herself down badly – she reacts sometimes and reacts badly to things and she went too far on these occasions."
Mr Hanratty added: "She accepts she is the perpetrator here, but the victim needs to stop pressing buttons that will trigger her."
The 50-year-old was told by the chairman of the bench, Lawrence Monk, that the offence was "serious enough" for magistrates to hand her a 12-month community order.
She must also complete a 90-day alcohol abstinence and monitoring programme, including a tag, and 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days, where she will complete a series of courses, including emotional recognition, victim awareness, and healthy communications.
No compensation was awarded, but a two-year restraining order was put in place.
Allen must pay £85 court costs and a £114 victim surcharge.
