Motorists are being warned of a full road closure near Knighton later this summer as major repair works get under way.
The C6208 will shut for almost three weeks from July 13 to July 31 between the A488 at New Invention and Lower Lye Junction, to allow for repairs to a collapsed retaining wall.
The scheme will see the damaged wall removed and rebuilt, with a new concrete footing installed. Parapet fencing will also be added, alongside the reinstatement of the verge and carriageway.
For safety reasons, the road will be closed to all vehicles around-the-clock throughout the works. A signed diversion route - 13 miles in full - will be in place during this time.
From New Invention, drivers will be diverted south along the A488 towards Knighton, before joining the A4113 in the direction of Bucknell and Chapel Lawn.

Pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will not be able to pass through the closure, although access to properties within the area will be maintained up to the closure points.
Shropshire Council has apologised for any disruption caused, saying efforts will be made to keep inconvenience to a minimum.
The works will be carried out by Kier, on behalf of the council, with supervision from WSP.
Advance warning signs will be installed and local residents will receive information letters ahead of the closure.
