A historic milestone has been reached at Ysgol Llanfyllin as a special group of students begin study leave ahead of their GCSE exams.
Year 11 pupils who were the first cohort to join year 7 at the newly-established all-age school have now completed their journey through their education at the school, although some may yet return for their A-levels after the summer.
The pupils started in September 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic, and have now finished their final day before commencing study leave.
Dewi Owen, headteacher at Ysgol Llanfyllin, said: "We are immensely proud of our Year 11 pupils.
"Watching them grow from their unique start in 2020 into the confident young people they are today has been a privilege.

Ysgol Llanfyllin became the county’s second all-through school when it opened in 2020, and was formed when the Llanfyllin C.P. School and Llanfyllin High School were merged.
It provides Welsh-medium and English-medium education for pupils from four to 18 years on the primary and high school sites.
Mr Owen added; "Everyone at Ysgol Llanfyllin wishes the pupils the best of luck. Diolch ac llongyfarchiadau i chi gyd— you will always be members of 'Teulu Ysgol Llanfyllin'."
