Black smoke seen in the sky near a Powys town was started by a controlled burn involving rubbish and old tyres, the fire service said.
Firefighters were scrambled to the incident near Doldowlod after receiving reports from the public about a fire near the mast on a hill on Wednesday (October 8).
A crew from Llandrindod Wells managed to extinguish the 150 square metre fire between 12.20pm and 2pm.

Residents living in the Radnorshire town reported seeing “very thick and dense” black smoke for around 30 minutes on Wednesday afternoon.
A spokesperson for Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 12.20pm on Wednesday, October 8, the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service crew from Llandrindod Wells Fire Station responded to an incident near Doldowlod in Llandrindod Wells.
“The crew responded following reports of a fire in the open in the area.
“Crews dealt with a controlled burn involving rubbish and old tyres, measuring approximately 10 metres by 15 metres.
“The fire was extinguished using one hose reel jet and one thermal imaging camera.
“The crew left the scene at 2.09pm."
