A county councillor has called for action after temporary traffic lights were installed on a busy Powys road following a water leak.
A parapet had to be cut by Hafren Dyfrdwy at Black Bridge junction on the A470 in Llandinam earlier his month in order to fix the leak.
Since then, temporary traffic lights have been in place, causing delays for motorists, particularly during the bank holiday weekend.
But now, Councillor Karl Lewis has said concrete barriers should be put in place to protect traffic on the busy trunk road.
The councillor for Llandinam with Dolfor Ward took to social media to give an update on the situation.
He said: "A few weeks ago, we had two water main bursts in the area, one of which was opposite Black Bridge junction on the A470 trunk road. To repair the leak, Severn Trent had to cut through the parapet.

"We are currently waiting for a replacement parapet, but these can take weeks to arrive. I’ve requested an update on the delivery time for tomorrow. If it is still weeks away, I’ve also asked for concrete barriers to be placed on the footpath and for the temporary traffic lights to be removed until the new parapet is fitted."
At the time of the leak, there was no water supply in parts of Llandinam, Llanidloes and Newtown.
Bottled water was made available to vulnerable residents who did not have a supply.
The incident coincided with one of this summer's heatwaves.
A spokesperson for the Welsh Government said: “We are working with all partners to ensure the traffic management is removed at the earliest opportunity.”
