Police are urging motorists to 'avoid the area' after a lorry broke down on one of Builth Wells' busiest roads.
Hospital Road, which is the main road to Builth Wells Primary School, is currently closed.
Dyfed-Powys Police issued the warning to motorists shortly before 8.30am on Thursday (October 24) asking people to divert via Irfon Bridge Road.
"If possible, please avoid the area and find alternative routes for your journey," the police force added.
Traffic monitoring website Inrix said traffic in the area is coping well with the road closure between Irfon Bridge Road and the A483 Garth Road.
