STUDENTS at a Powys secondary school have been urged to collect their exam results certificates – otherwise they risk being destroyed.

Ysgol Calon Cymru, which has two campuses in Llandrindod Wells and Builth Wells, says it still has a “considerable number” of exam certificates for GCSE and GCE pupils sitting around from 2023.

The school has asked pupils who want their certificates before they are destroyed, which can be done after 12 months.

“We have a considerable number of exam certificates not collected at both campuses from 2023,” said Ysgol Calon Cymru in a post on its Facebook page on Wednesday, September 18.

“Please, if you haven't collected your GCSE or GCE certificates, can you arrange collection. Please note: exam certificates not collected can be destroyed after 12 months.”

One person who responded to the post asked if 2024 certificates can be collected yet, with someone else explaining that exam certificates do not tend to arrive in schools until November.
