THE operators of the post office in Builth Wells have moved to clarify that is is not closing, following a period of uncertainty.
High Street Stores & Builth Wells Post Office, which operates the post office and a shop in the town centre, has confirmed that the post office is not closing, taking to social media last week.
“After the last few weeks of our customers popping in and asking a range of questions after a couple of rumours have been circulating, we would like to point out that the post office is not closing,” High Street Stores & Builth Wells Post Office said on its Facebook page.

“We have a lovely new post mistress coming in called Julie and she’ll be taking over from Tracy.
“She will also be doing something with the shop space in the next coming weeks/months.”
The statement added: “We do have an audit on Friday, August 23, so the post office will be closed (hopefully just for a couple of hours).
“But we would like to re-assure you all that we will be staying put. Jade and Jodie will be staying so you’ll still get familiar faces to make your day even better.”
