Powys Council has recently received a series of planning applications of public significance.

The applications, submitted under various national legislations, range from a ramp proposal for a community centre to conversions.

The first application concerns a proposed construction project at Stonehouse Farmhouse in Bwlch-y-Cibau, Llanfyllin by Sir Henry Ropner of Bryngwyn Estate.

The development plan logged under planning reference 24/1164/FUL, is expected to close off existing access to the farmhouse while improving access to a converted agricultural barn.

A second application by a resident called Ms Julie Fortune proposes the erection of a workshop at the listed building Felin Crewi in Penegoes, Machynlleth.

Her permission request is logged under number 24/1152/LBC.

Machynlleth Town Council has proposed the construction of a new disability ramp at The Plas Community Centre.

The planning reference is 24/1111/LBC.

Lastly, another application is logged with reference 24/1092/LBC by Mr Hywel Rogers, which looks to convert and extend a paddock barn to a dwelling, with associated works and alterations, at Bacheldre Hall in Churchstoke.

The local council has invited public comments on these proposals within 21 days.
