Tractors from across the region rolled into Llanddewi village hall on August 18 for the lively 24th Llanddewi Tractor Run.

The well-attended event began with a welcome speech by Barry Bevan, announcing the chosen charity as Blood Bikes Wales.

The organisation transports blood and plasma between hospitals, as well as delivering medicine to patients.

The event started at 10.30am led by Dennis Davies on a Leyland 602, the convoy journeyed up Llanddewi pitch and took in the rural charm of the surroundings.

The route saw the tractors crossing the scenic Maelienydd common lands and winding their way through Vronganllydd farmyard and Cantal to reach Crossways.

A stop on the open hill overlooking the wind farm gave participants a chance to break for lunch and appreciate their surroundings.

The journey continued from Fron top downward to Llanbadarn Fynydd, crossing over the A483 to ford the river.

The tractors then headed south, switching to the private road and bridge across the Ithon.

The procession ventured towards Maesllan, steering left past Drainllanbir across the common to the Pound.

The route changed direction to Crossways and then towards Llanbister Road before taking a right turn to cross the open hill towards the Mere house.

The homeward leg saw the tractors course through Heartsease and along a tarred road back to Llanddewi.

Alongside the thrills of the scenic countryside tracks, all participants enjoyed complimentary tea, coffee, and Welsh cakes from Dot Bevan and Joan Davies.
