Several roads in the centre of a Powys border town will be closed later this month for resurfacing works.
A series of roads in Bishop’s Castle will be closed from Thursday, August 15, to Wednesday, August 21 while work is taking place in the town centre.
The roads being resurfaced are Church Street, High Street and Market Square, with workers on the site between 9.30am and 4pm, meaning the roads will be closed during these times.

Depending on their vehicle type, road users may be able to choose an alternative diversion route.
Shropshire Council added that during the closure, access to these roads will be restricted to local residents who live and reside within the road closure area, businesses located within the closure, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and horses.
Emergency vehicles will also have access to the roads, as well as utility or public service vehicles when safe to do so.
