RHAYADER Town Football Club hosted a six-a-side tournament in memory of the much-missed Gareth Earp earlier this month.
Mr Earp, a highly respected police officer who served as an inspector with Dyfed Powys Police, died, aged 43, after he was involved in a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the A470 between Rhayader and Llangurig in June 2023.
However his legacy lives on through his family and through his hometown club which marked the anniversary of his passing with a six a side festival.
A fantastic day was enjoyed by everyone with 17 teams entering and the overall winners were Network Rail Madrid.

Spokesman Gareth Rees said: “A huge thanks must go to Tamsin and Gareth’s family along with Lee Harley who organised the competition and all the volunteers and helpers who made the day such a success.
“Thanks goes to all those who supported the event in memory of Gareth 1079.”
