Two cars were involved in a crash which closed a section of a busy main road between Welshpool and Shrewsbury On Saturday morning (May 25).
Police had urged motorists planning to travel along the A458 between Halfway House and Wattlesborough Heath to find another route while they dealt with the incident.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said a crew was sent at 10.20am to help make the vehicles safe.
The emergency service also reported that none of the people involved in the crash were trapped inside the vehicles.
A 11.18am, West Mercia Police issued an update to say that the road had re-opened.
"Thank you for your patience while we were dealing," the force tweeted after earlier asking drivers to avoid the area and find an alternative route.
Traffic monitoring website Inrix said there had been queueing traffic in both directions between the B4387 and Stretton Heath turn-off due to the collision.
