There's still time to visit the Knitted Bible exhibition in Newtown which has been touring the UK for many years.

The unique exhibition consists of 36 colourful scenes from the Bible which was created and lent by St George’s United Reformed Church, Hartlepool.

People can see the Knitted Bible for free at the Crescent Christian Centre, Milford Road from 10am and 4pm until Saturday (May 11).

Knitted creations from Bible stories include Noah’s Ark, David and Goliath, Daniel and the Lion’s Den, Jonah and the Whale, the Nativity scene, the wedding at Cana, the Last Supper, the Crucifixion and the Resurrection plus many more.

Rev Rebecca Lalbiaksangi said: "There has been a great response from the communities and schools we have visited so far. We have already been to Montgomery and Tregynon and will be visiting Guilsfield and Refail soon.

"Work on these exhibits began in 2008 and it is wonderful to see these talented knitters work on display."

The exhibition will next move to Groeslwyd Chapel, Guilsfield from Tuesday, May 14, to Sunday, May 19, from 2pm and 4pm. The chapel will also be open from 10am to 12 noon on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The from Wednesday, May 22, to Friday, May 24, the exhibition will be on display at the Refail Chapel Schoolroom, near Berriew.
