A Powys man is facing a crown court trial over allegations that he falsely imprisoned and seriously injured a man over three days while also threating him with a hammer.
David Finucane, 37, denied all the charges against him after they were put to him at a hearing at Mold Crown Court on Friday, April 19.
He is accused of falsely imprisoning and causing grievous bodily harm with intent on Aaron Mark Fisher between Sunday, March 17, and Tuesday, March 19, in Builth Wells.
He also pleaded not guilty to threatening Mr Fisher with an offensive weapon - a hammer - in a private place with serious risk of harm to him.
Finucane was arrested on Tuesday, March 19, after police gained entry to a property in Cwrt-y-Castell, Builth Wells.
He was later remanded in custody at HMP Berwyn where he appeared via a video link in court for his plea and trial preparation hearing on Friday, April 19.
Finucane's barrister told the court that not guilty pleas were entered to all three charges.
His Honour Judge Rhys Rowlands fixed the three-day trial for Monday, September 16, at Mold Crown Court but made counsel aware that it could move to Caernarfon.
