At the latest meeting of the Inner Wheel Club of Welshpool, the group presented a cheque of their year’s fundraising to their chosen charity.
Two high ranking members of Welshpool’s Inner Wheel Club received cheques at the group’s latest meeting, which will both be donated to their charities of choice.
At their meeting in February, at the Royal Oak Hotel, the club were joined by the District 18 Chairman Muriel McGrath, who told group members about her life and her progression through the inner wheel ranks as well as how she attained her current role in the club.
During her talk, she said that club visits were the aspect of the position within inner wheel that she enjoyed the most.

She was thanked by Marian and presented with a bouquet of everlasting flowers and a cheque for her chosen charity, Cerebral Palsy.
Another notable event of the meeting was the District Chairman later inducting a new member to the group, Diane Stirling Jones.
Immediate Past Chairman Wendy Beaven received a cheque for her chosen charity Carers UK, which was the proceeds of fundraising from her year in office.
The next meeting will be on April 16, when Susan Williams will give a talk entitled ‘Who do you think you are?’
