An acre of woodland in Powys could sell for over £20,000 as it goes under the hammer at an upcoming auction.  

 A piece of woodland described as "tranquil and picturesque”, found half a mile from the village of Llanbrynmair, near Machynlleth, is scheduled to be sold by auctioneers Halls.

The sale will take place at the company’s Shrewsbury headquarters on Friday, April 26, with a guide price of £15,000 to £20,000.

The sale is scheduled to start at 3pm and is being handled by Louise Preece, Halls’ head of rural professional services.
