A main road in Powys is set to be closed for much of the weekend due to a burst water main.
Traffic Mid and North Wales have said that the A479 in Llyswen, just outside the Esso petrol station, will be closed due to a burst water main flooding the road.
They have confirmed that the road will be closed in both directions from 4pm this afternoon (March 22) so that the damaged main can be repaired by engineers.
In a post on social media Traffic Mid and North Wales said that “all efforts will be made to get the road reopened by Monday.”
A diversion will be put in place while the work is done which will see drivers following the A470 and the A438 through Bronllys back on to the other end of the A479.
