A Newtown man accused of having amphetamine and cannabis in his home has chosen to have his trial heard before a judge.
Anthony Evans pleaded not guilty to two charges of possessing the Class B drugs when he appeared at Welshpool Magistrates' Court on Tuesday (March 12).
He is alleged to have had 53 grams of powerful stimulant amphetamine and 42.4 grams of cannabis at his Falcon Court home in Maesyrhandir, Newtown on December 6, 2022.
The 49-year-old chose to have his trial heard at Mold Crown Court which will take place on April 12.
Evans was granted unconditional bail to return to court for his trial next month.
