A spokesperson for Dyfed Powys Police said: "Police in Llandrindod Wells have been made aware of rogue traders cold calling at properties offering to pressure wash driveways and roofs.
"If you have any issues or concerns please contact Dyfdd Powys Police on 101."
Police have said that this is a potential "doorstep scam" which involves "someone attending your property, uninvited, offering you a service you do not need with the aim of tricking you out of money".
They are advising the public to be vigilant to ask for identification and to say no if they "fail to provide a quote", "makes an offer that is too good to be true", "pressures you into making a decision on the spot" or "offer to drive you to withdraw cash from your account to pay for work".
