A major trunk road in Powys has re-opened after being closed in both directions for over four hours.
At approximately 9.30pm on Friday, February 9, 2024, a stretch of the A44 trunk road in Powys, between Ponterwyd and Llangurig was closed in both directions.

The road remained closed for several hours, as a result of an accident. Local diversions were put in place for motorists travelling down the stretch of road.
It was not until the next day, in the early hours of Saturday, February 10, that the A44 was re-opened, with traffic once again moving in both directions at approximately 1.30am.
