A family was rescued from after getting lost while climbing the iconic Pen-y-Fan in Powys.
The Brecon Mountain Rescue Team was called out to assist Dyfed-Powys Police at Bannau Brycheiniog National Park after receiving information that a family had become lost on Saturday (January 13).
The family initially called Dyfed-Powys Police for help after getting lost due to the fog which swirled around the area at the weekend.
As they waited for rescue the family became "cold" and "tired" in the wintery weather conditions around the iconic mountain.

However rescue teams from the Brecon Mountain Rescue Teams were soon on hand including search dogs to help get the family back safely.
A spokesperson for the Brecon Mountain Rescue Team said: "Team were called by Dyfed-Powys Police to assist a family who had become disorientated, cold and tired in the fog on Pen y Fan.
"As they had children with them, they did the right thing to call Mountain rescue and were guided off the hill to team members who were heading up to meet up with them.
"They were very happy to get off the hill to safety and had a good cwtch off Rusty the search dog."
