A Powys football club suffered a second burglary in just over two weeks, reporting a new robbery as Dyfed Powys Police continue to investigate one on Christmas Day.

Dyfed Powys Police investigating a Christmas Day burglary at Talgarth FC have released CCTV images - but now the club say they were hit again on January 10.

Dyfed Powys Police launched an appeal for information as they are investigating a burglary that took place at Talgarth Football Club on December 25 at 5am, with a large amount of alcohol reportedly being stolen from the premises.

On January 10, the football club announced via social media that they had experienced another burglary, which they estimate took place at approximately 12.35am.

They said: “The committee are devastated to inform you that Talgarth Town FC was broken into again.

“Not only did they take things, they also damaged our building.”

As part of their investigation into the first incident, Dyfed Powys Police officers are hoping to identify the people in a series of CCTV images as they may have information which could help the investigation.

Officers are also asking residents in the area to check their own CCTV for the December 25 for any similar sightings.

Regarding the Christmas robbery, a spokesperson for Talgarth FC said: "It is very sad but thankfully no major lasting damage to the club and the police have been brilliant in dealing with it quickly.

"We just hope we can catch the people who’ve done it to avoid any more problems as this is last thing you need at anytime but especially at this time."
