Drivers in Mid Wales are being advised to take caution as wet and windy conditions are expected over the first few days of 2024.
The Met Office have issued two separate warnings for wind and rain throughout Mid Wales between Monday, January 1, from 5pm and January 2, from 9pm.
The warnings describe a risk of delays to drivers on January 1 and risk of flooding as wet and windy weather is expected to continue into the next day.
The warning for January 1 added that a spell of very windy weather, accompanied by heavy rain, is likely to cause travel disruption.

Drivers can reportedly expect roads to be affected by the weather, while train and bus journeys may also take longer. High sided vehicles on exposed routes ad bridges are also likely to face delays.
The Met Office added that some short term losses of power and other services is also possible during the heavy period of wind and rain.
On January 2, the yellow weather warning states that flooding of a few homes and businesses may be possible amidst the heavy rain falling on already saturated ground, which could also cause some travel disruption.
Spray and flooding on roads is also expected, likely leading to longer journey times for drivers and more delays to bus and train services.
